I did it. I bought the C8 in powder blue -- with matching rack and bell -- last night. It should be in my hot little hands before the end of the month. Mmmm... loop frame-y goodness. Scott, a.k.a. the
Honey Badger in response to my shopping, said nothing except "Did you just buy it?" when he noticed me hyperventilating with excitement.
This morning friends are both congratulating me on the new baby and suggesting an intervention. I don't have a problem; I can quit any time. Ahem.
I'll be really interested in your experiences with the Public. I look at their bikes online a lot, and thought of ordering one myself.
ReplyDeleteBut my husband bought me a Brompton instead. :)
You can bet there will be a post full of glowing euphoria or bitter disappointment. :)
DeleteOh goodness! I hope it's euphoria, otherwise I will feel incredibly guilty! Glad you pulled the trigger and can't wait to hear all about it. :O)
ReplyDeleteNo guilt! I LOOOOOOVED the ride quality of the M8 so we're halfway there. =)
DeleteLook forward to hearing how you like it. It is SUCH a handsome city bike. Very elegant.
ReplyDeleteIt really is. I've been wanting a loop frame bicycle since I got back into cycling. As I said below, I hope this is my Holy Grail.
DeleteYou know, the first step towards recovery is admitting we have a problem. Seriously, congrats! And Janice, the Brompton owner, do you love it? I adore mine. The toughest thing (other than forking out the dough, it is no small investment) was choosing the color. A member of my local bike shop team helped nudge me to the apple-green by saying "I always like looking at that color." I do too.
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeful that this one is my Holy Grail bicycle. I don't feel the need for a fleet of bikes; I want to adore what I have.
DeleteThe Bromptons are seriously cute. Do you find that the small wheels make travel take more time?
Pictures please!
ReplyDeleteSoooon.
DeleteSweeeeeeet! Congratulations on a beautiful new bike!
