It's here!!

Or there, rather, there since I'm still in Columbus... And, thanks to United Airlines' cancellation of my flight home, I will be too tired after the seven hour drive to play with the new bike until tomorrow at the earliest. But I have the knowledge that I'll get to see my sweet hubby and kitties and new bike sooooooon.

My... precioussss...
And yes, I am geeky enough to have said "yes" when Scott asked if I wanted a picture of the box.

  1. Wow!! The first two blogs I 'click' to catch up on and you are both taking delivery of new bikes..
    I'm jealous...
Now I wonder if I can talk Anne into seeing how important it is for me to get a fourth bike..!!

  3. Hell ya, I would've asked for photos (<--that's multiple, in case you missed it), too! :O) Looks like it arrived safely and can't wait to see it.

On another note... your flight was cancelled? And you have to drive back? My brow is furrowing right now at the thought of having to do that. Hopefully, it won't be too painful. Hang in there!

    1. Heehee! I'm so glad to have found kindred bike nuts. :)

I didn't ~have~ to drive but the next available flight was at 6:30am on Saturday with a layover that would have put me at about the same amount of transit time when you add in getting to the airport early for security and then waiting at the luggage carousel. I made really good time on the road and got home in almost exactly 6-1/2 hours. Getting to spend that time in a $40k car didn't suck, either.

The good news is that the airline refunded the entire cost of my ticket (including last Sunday's flight out [which was a total cluster...]) and, since this was a business trip car, gas, and meals will be reimbursed.

And now that the trip is over, I get to focus on the new bike. Whoo hoo!

    2. Sounds like you worked it out... I would just dread a long drive (but I also understand just wanting to get home already - especially with a bike waiting). :O) Hopefully, you are home and able to check out the new wheels now. Looking forward to pics and thoughts!

    1. They wanted to put me on a flight at oh God thirty on Saturday and I refused. It's cool, though. I spent quality time with a luxury car I would be embarrassed to purchase, the airline refunded my tickets, and my employer will reimburse me for tonight's expenses.

I'm super psyched about opening the giant box in the kitchen, but if I did that now, I'd want to assemble the bike and I might wind up putting the handlebars in the seat post or something. :)
